Fascinating to discover that
It's fascinating to discover that only few astrocytes in the amygdala are oxytocin-responsive. Are there other examples in CNS structures of clearly-identified astrocyte subpopulations? Although GAP junctions are present, signal propagation is limited in this example. Are neuropeptides the perfect neuroglial transmitter?
