When completed, Pain Genes will be a searchable, annotated database of genes that have any pain-related data available in humans. We're in the process of pulling together a list of genes--we're at 53 and counting--and the associated studies. You can help this resource grow by submitting new genes and studies. In the end, you'll be able to click on the gene name for more information on function and phenotype, or on the animal model designation for descriptions of available genetic models in mice and other species.
